Archive for Perth

We the Stinson Air team are proud of our business owner Brad Stinson who was a winner in the prestigious Western Australian Business News 40 under 40 Awards held last month at the Perth Convention Centre. Brad joined 40 other under 40 entrepreneurs from a range of industries across the state of Western Australia. Although it was an individual award Brad was quick to thank the rest of the Stinson Air Conditioning team for the team effort which he acknowledges is responsible for Stinson Air’s success and the reason they are rapidly growing to become one of Perth’s leading air conditioning companies in Western Australia. Most of the team came along to the black tie event, which was a fantastic night and a great time and celebration was had by all….. WELL DONE BOSS!!

What a bloody hot state we have been for the past 3 months, Stinson Air clients will be happy they had their air conditioning system installed when they did, as this past summer of 2009 / 2010 has been the hottest summer on record according to the burea of meteorology with Perth recording it’s second hottest summer ever. There is still plenty of the hot stuff to come, so call Stinson Air for all your Perth and Western Australian air conditioning needs.

Stinson Air has grown over recent years and we are now seeing a large rise in the number of commercial air conditioning contracts that we are quoting and winning. Recently we have completed projects at the WA Sports Federation at Challenge Stadium, Newman College Sports Centre, the new John Hughes Service Centre, Saint Vincent DePaul head office and many more offices, showrooms and retail projects around the Perth area. We are also quoting new offices in Scarborough, two large multi tenanted showroom developments in Myaree and Jindalee and a refit of an architecture office in Subiaco. If you have a commercial air conditioning project, see your Perth commercial air conditioning specialist, Stinson Air. We can custom design an air conditioning system to suit your project.

The Stinson Air Team

It’s heating  up so a good time to remind you about some handy tips for your air conditioning system.

  • Remember to keep your air filters clean every two to three months. Hose out the clean side first followed by hosing the dirty side (to avoid pushing dirt into the filter), leave to dry for 10 minutes and replace.
  •  Keep that outdoor unit (condenser) clean and clear from obstructions. Turn system of at mains if dust, leaves etc appear to be blocking copper coils (back and side) and give a good hosing, allow to drain / dry for 30 minutes and turn back on.
  •  If a fault occurs turn the power off at the outdoor unit location or in the switchboard at the a/c circuit breaker leave for 15 minutes and reset. If problems still persist contact Stinson Air.
  •  Ensure ceiling vents are blowing along ceiling (not down) to prevent draughts, this can be reversed in winter.
  •  Remember on those stinking hot Perth days, if you are about to turn your system on after work or in the afternoon – check if the Fremantle doctor is blowing first if so open up the house flush the hot stale air out and then turn your system on. Reduce your power costs and carbon footprint at the same time.
  •  Enjoy your climate controlled paradise!
